Greg and Dominick's Day at the Beach

There are definitely times in life when you truly get to witness true love and as photographers Jay and I have been blessed and honored to bare witness to the most genuine forms of love more times than the average person. We have been honored to see the love a man has for his soon to be wife, the love a mother and father have for their newborn, and this past weekend we got to watch the true and unbiased love that a father has for his son. Greg truly is a father that loves his son for everything that he is and everything that he will become and its obvious that Dominick feels the love for his father. Even though as a seven year old Dominick has a short tension span for posing we were able to obtain some great pictures of him and his father just being themselves and having fun. I personally feel that those natural “journalistic” style of images are more meaningful and are the type of images that days, months, and years from now when Dominick and Greg look back they will be able to go back to that moment and remember the moment and the feelings that were present. So without further ado Greg and Dominick’s day at the beach!!!!!

I really liked how this one of Greg and Dominick walking to the beach turned out!!!
.
So seeing these two together makes me think of that will smith song you know the one Just the Two of Us. “Everytime I look at you I think man, a little me, Just like me Wait an see gonna be tall Makes me laugh cause you got your dads ears an all Sometimes I wonder, what you gonna be A General, a Doctor, maybe a MC… Just the two of us, we can make it if we try, Just the two of us, you and I”
.
Seriously, look at the love here!!!!
.
Love how both of these turned out!
.
Ok so we have a shoe fetish, but come on how cute is this!!
.
I have learned that parents look for any excuse to turn any experience into a learning experience and our photo shoot was no exception from Jay teaching Dominick how to use the camera to Greg stopping to take a moment to explain to Dominick about PFC. William A. Sodderman. PFC Sodderman received the Congressional Medal of Honor and this monument was placed in his honor to commemorate his bravery.
.
On the way home a very hungry Dominick, sat perched on his Dad’s shoulders as we headed back to the cars after a great afternoon.
.

Thank you Greg and Dominick for an awesome day at the beach, we had a great time and look forward to playing with our Nerf guns.
