Fun times at an Industrial space

Okay so when I started this idea I realized it was probably going to be a few part installment so make sure to check back for more. But the idea for this series came from the song Lady Marmalade.

Meet Melissa this was actually her first photo shoot ever! She was such a great sport and a ton of fun to work with!

Tori was so poised in this first shot! Love it!

Melissa laid down in the hall and we were able to grab this shot!

We had an awesome door that the girls worked!

Totally rocking the wall!

Go Melissa!

Tori rocking some shots while we were up on a ladder!

There was actually this really cool wall at the industrial space we were at and Jay just had to grab a picture!

Maura and Sal Get Married!!

Maura and Sal are a fun loving couple and together are a definite force to be reckoned with. There story begins at a Coffee shop that Maura managed where in walks Sal to get a coffee and well it was all over from there. It wasn't long until they went on their first date to Temple Bar for wine and food and were forever smittened with each other. Sometime later after some fun dates mini golfing Sal and Maura went to a Red Sox game where he hid the ring in a bucket of popcorn and after a near miss (Maura almost ate the ring) Sal popped the question and guess what she said YES!!!
So that is what led us all here to the Boston Botanical Gardens in front of the most beautiful angel fountain ever. We were privileged to be asked to come out and shoot the ceremony for such an awsome couple and with out further ado the pictures!

Maura getting ready to meet the man she will marry!

Got to love the moments that a father has with his daughter as he walks the last few steps with her as a single woman!

All the little girls waiting for the bride to arrive!

One of the things that truly made Maura and Sal’s ceremony special aside from the absolutely beautiful location of the Boston Botanical Garden’s was that Maura’s brothers presided over the ceremony that would end with pronouncing there sister as a married woman!

Of course we had to have some fun and take advantage of the awesome location!

Okay Maura had the most amazing back piece and I loved how the back of her dress framed the beautiful art!

Hanging out by the trees!

Ring a ling got to love the rings!

I really cannot ever say it enough! We love our couples, they are not afraid to be a little wacky and have fun!

Congratulations Maura and Sal! We wish you many years of love and happiness!

Top Reasons why we LOVE Maui!!!!

Okay so this post might be a few weeks over due but hey better late then never right!!

One got to love the sunsets

Two Okay Sunsets in Hawaii are jaw dropping but if you get the chance to go to Haleakala and see either the sunrise or the sunset you will not be disappointed!

Three well we all know that yellow snow is normally something you would want to avoid and in most cases you would be right but in Maui flavored snow or “shaved ice” is something that you can absolutely not miss. With hundreds of flavors the combinations are endless and always delicious.

Four the turtles are simply beautiful and jay wants to steal one and when I told him we would have no where to put it he said that it could live in our bathtub! Boys!!

Five! Seriously Luaus = great night and all you can eat food and drinks which = super happy married couple

Six Ziplining! I know that you can go zip lining any where but it was a ton of fun and something I would recommend doing!

Seven the amazingly beautiful silver sword plant that blooms once every forty years! We didn’t get to see one bloom but the plant was beautiful!

Eight Leis! You got to get one while you are on Maui! We were lucky because right on front street the women of the senior center were making them right for everyone to see and buy!

Nine Maui Atomic Tattoo! We know that everyone is not going to get a tattoo in Maui but if you are we would totally recommend Maui Atomic Tattoo they were absolutely phenomenal. While all the artists there are great we personally dealt with Yvette who was amazing! She was able to do an amazing cover up for me and was able to go over an old scar for Jay and both came out awesome!

Ten Dragon’s Teeth! Dragon’s Teeth at Makalua-puna Point was created from one of the last lava flows on Maui. The jagged points of this formation look like dragon's teeth, thus the name. It really was an awesome site to see after you get through the golf course.

Eleven the beautiful aqua blue water!

Twelve Doors off helicopter ride! This was one of the moments I can tell you that we will never forget. It was simply amazing and awsome!

Thirteen Aquarium!!! The Maui Ocean Center was awsome and a ton of fun! Especially the tunnel where you basically walk through water!

Fifteen being able to enjoy our honeymoon with each other!!!

Sixteen is having an awsome photoshoot with Anna Kim!!

Jay and I cannot wait to get back to Maui! It was truly an amazing and life changing experience and one that I hope we get to repeat soon!

Justine Danielle

Jay and I love when a vision we have comes to life and the next few months we are going to have several visions come to life we are so excited. But lets start with this first vision. I have for a long time wanted to a shoot that had some dance influence. So we got in touch with the fabulous Tiffany Hall-Scarmana and she was available to do make up and hair for this awesome shoot! We also were able to work with Justine Danielle who is so very talented and was great to work with!

Justine was so great and did so many wardrobe changes and we were so excited to get a wide variety of shots.

In addition to dancing we also played with some awesome fabric and it was great to see what Justine could do with it!

Jumping and playing with fabric

Well the sun had almost set but I wanted to get some water shots and Justine was such a great sport and was all about jumping in the water!

Thank you Justine Danielle and Tiffany for an awesome shoot and we look forward to working with you both again soon!

Steph did such an amazing job getting her daughters room ready and it really is a dream room for any little girl!

I love how it looks like she is smiling at the camera. Barely a week old and she already knows how to work the camera!

Look at her all bundled up

Look at her all asleep on the batch of towels!! Simply adorable!

Mommy did such a good job of picking outfits out for Braelynn.

Maui Shoot Out

This June while Jay and I were on our honeymoon in Maui (don’t worry pictures coming soon) we decided to put together a shoot out! With the help of some awesome photographers we were able to get all the details put together and were able to pull off an awesome shoot out! First off thank you to the wonderful Mrs. Anna Kim who helped us get some of the details together and put us in touch with Mr. Paulo Mendes who allowed us to use his studio to get ready and as a place to meet up. Now of course we did not expect everything to go smoothly and as of the morning of the shoot our MUA and hair stylist had backed out but the totally and absolutely amazing Dan Sanchez and his team of MUA and stylists drove across the island to meet up with us and totally rocked out the models looks!

Here is a quick behind the scenes video from the shoot out:

So the setting for this awesome shoot was in the Bamboo Forest on the Hana Highway. Here is heather totally rocking out the bamboo! (Also want to give a huge shout out to her boyfriend. He was extremely helpful holding reflectors and gear! It was really awesome having someone willing to do that so the photographers could all get a chance to take pictures.)

Totally having a girly geek moment here the glittery abs totally made me think of Twillight but when I made the reference at the shoot out Dylan didn’t know what I was talking about because he had not seen the movie and Jay just made fun of me!

Another ab portrait

Over by the waterfall we had Heather do some dance poses

Loved this picture

We then headed to the beach for a totally different look! Dylan does a lot off modeling for running magazines so we wanted to give him a few running pics

We ended our shoot out on the rocks with some couple portraits.

Again thanks to all that participated I know Jay and I really had an absolutely amazing time and we truly hope we can all get together again the next time we are out on Maui!!!
