Shining bright like a diamond. A how-to, to keep your rings clean and shiny :)

Let's start this off by saying that we LOVE ring shots!!!

I love a clean and sparkly ring as much as anyone else, but have you ever wondered how to keep it shining bright like a diamond?  Many people work, and just plain do things with your hands every day, unless you have a sweet maid and butler so you are pampered all day long (hey we can dream can't we)  and with that our rings get dirty. We all want to keep our rings shiny and sparkling like the when we first got it. The question is, how exactly can you get your ring deep down clean without causing any damage to it?

The first thing to do is don't loose it lol. We start with 1 toothbrush, 3 cups ( haha I know what you were just thinking) Head over to a flat surface, kitchen counter, table, desk, etc... I would not recommend the bathroom since theres way to many little creatures in there that would love to swallow it. Also I would recommend having the setting checked by your jeweler every year to make sure the stone is still where it should be. Some warranty's that you purchase with your ring will cover this (sometimes it is required) as well as free cleaning.
Ok so on to the how-to, fill cup #1 with about 3 tablespoons of peroxide (enough to let the ring soak) Fill cup #2 with soapy water, and fill cup #3 with just plain old warm water. Now take that pretty little bad boy off your finger, feel free to pretend to be a hand model at this time ;) Drop it into Cup #1 and allow it to soak for about 5 minutes. When the ring is done soaking pull it out of the peroxide, grab a tooth brush (that you wont use on your teeth again) and dunk it in the soapy water Cup #2. Now gently scrub down the ring getting all the little cracks and small areas. After you scrubbed it all down rinse it off by rinsing it off in the cup of warm water Cup #3, let it hang out in there for about 5 minutes.
So the process is pretty simple, and should be done roughly every 2 weeks. Then make sure it goes back in the box or back on that pretty little finger of yours ;)

Nick & Meg tie the knot

We love a little back yard wedding, Well this was a back yard wedding but not a small yard. It was kinda on a farm :) Which was so awesome. So let's back track a bit with a kind of funny story. A while back I got a email from Meg while she was in London. Now at the time there were lots of spam/scam emails going around about weddings from people in the UK. The email seemed sincere and had a phone number...... so I called it :) Her dad answered and the rest is history.

I am glad I called because meeting Nick & Meg was awesome. They are such a sweet couple and we are totally blessed with the people we meet, through our photography.

Meg is originally from the good ole USA and Nick is from London. It all started with a stare from across the bar. Now they are married and living happily ever after in London.

These guys are serious Zombie fans. They even dress up and do Zombie Pub crawls... How cool is that?

Nick's Dad was super fun, every time he saw me he would do something crazy like this. Love when people are themselves around us :) That's what we LOVE!!

So if having the wedding in the backyard of an awesome house with a farm attached wasn't enough, Meg arrived with some serious horse power ;)

Look at these love birds.... Come on.... How lovely :)

Time to party!!!

Peek-a-boo

A little bit of plowed farm land. Look at that sky... can you believe everyone was worried about rain...lol

Raw Horse Power

Love is in the Air...

Told you they love zombies :)

A big thank you to Nick & Me for letting be apart of their wedding!!

Jeff and Desi get their marriage on!! 9.2.11

Jeff and Desiree got there marriage on earlier this month. Let me tell you that they are made for each other, if its true that one person completes the other well they are living truth. The story of they wedding is one that many went through after Hurricane Irene. The wedding was planned, for many many months and we were honored to be their photographers. Two days before the big day Jeff and Desiree decided to go and check out their venue and see if they had sustained any damage since it was directly on Milford beach. Well, they are lucky they did. The venue had water damage and the outdoor area was washed away by the sea.
They scrambled to find a new place and with the help of friends and family they were able to get a better venue and could not be more happy with how everything turned out.

Reception Time!!!

They had so much fun, you would of thought it was their wedding :)

Congrats Jeff and Desi!!!

Jen and Wendell's Wedding

Just a few more Photos from Jen and Wendell's Wedding...

Maggie is starting to learn to edit and enhance photos as well as shooting along side of me and shes learning quick. Its awesome to do what I love and to now start to do it with the person I love. The best of both worlds, well most of the time hehehe.

Maggie caught Jen acting like her fun self while waiting to become a MRS. From what I hear they had fun waiting around their room all dressed up and no where to go for like 2 hours :)

Maggie was getting her make up done before the wedding and the makeup artist was going on about how awesome her lashes were so I had to get a few close ups and damn they are long.

Here Maggie got Jen in a mix between look at me I'm pretty and oh crap what am I doing, nah I'm just kidding she looked amazing and was in all her glory so much that she made everyone cry even the groomsmen.

Getting mom's approval and I think there is a tear in her eye I know I did.

This was taken at the rehearsal dinner, I gave them a taste of what they are gonna be in for the rest of their lives and I was asked to borrow the new jewelry (hand cuffs) for the honeymoon. ;)
