So I know this has been posted everywhere but I gotta put it out there too. The latest Dove experiment rocks. I can always see the beauty in things, but sometimes do not see it in myself. I know everyone struggles with this and we should not. We are all beautiful and the sooner we realize this and own it the better we will be.
So here is a challenge for you. Go out and compliment 5 people, friends, or strangers, and genuinely mean it. If just seeing the good in people doesn't make your day better, their's will rock, Trust me :)
So what feels like days ago our son was born. In this corner wearing a onesie and tie born on February 19, 2013 at 9:19pm weighing in at 8lbs 5 oz and 20.5in long WYATT.
Now 2 months later I could never imagine life without him. I mean having Frankie (our Rottie) was pure awesome, but there is just something extra special about a son with 2 legs. Watching him grow, learn to use his muscles and try to make noises is the cutest darn thing ever. Let me tell you if he's screaming bloody murder and then stops and smiles it make everything in the world better instantly. Seriously if you don't believe me go check out my Instagram and melt :)
People sometimes find me to be distracted, lying low in the background while I am supposed to be setting them up for a typical portrait. They may think I am not paying attention to them, but they are wrong. I am paying attention to everything. The environment is my canvas, I see the sun starting to come out from the clouds, and realize that soon there will be a pleasing but transient play of light and shadow; I see an object that is far in the distance but know it will become part of a beautiful composition. I see the bird as it flies overhead and know it will bring an exciting addition to the image; I see a person's face, and know the emotions that flicker by can be frozen in time... I am a firm believer in capturing a person’s true emotion it what makes an image hold value. Emotion is beauty in its purest form. Everything is a photograph—all I have to do is look. And I am always looking. As a photographer, I spend time in my heart, and I shoot from my heart.
