Lights, Flare, and Ambition

Long long ago in a far place just like this light was created. The old saying "and God said let there be light", but what he did not let us know is how many different ways it can be used. That is one reason human-kind is so fascinating, we have the ability to expand and create anything and everything. So about 2 weeks ago Aurora Onorato from Aurora Photography invited Maggie and myself to Illuminations, a lighting workshop.

She and her team did a fantastic job in picking a venue and vendors. The night before I was so anxious making sure all my batteries were charged, and all our gear was packed up for the fun filled trip we were about to embark on. Then before I knew it the alarm was going off and we were out the door. Next stop The New Haven Lawn Club, we lucked out with a beautiful sunny sky and the chill in the air was quickly heated up by the gorgeous models and details.

The Hair and Makeup team did a totally awesome job. Those lashes go on foreverrrrr :)

Not to mention the details, they were incredible.

The Wedding Embassy provided some beautiful dresses

The floral arrangement were very visually appealing :)

The Makeup artists had a vast array of every color of everything, lol

The Entry way to the building has such a incredible feel so I had to get a few photos of one of the Wedding gowns dead in the center.

Who doesn't love shoes and rings??

Every where you turn inside the club has a certain feel you can not describe with words, thus we have photos :)

All of our models were so full of life, having fun and looking good doing it was surely the theme of the day.

A little back lighting in combination with the vintage lighting completely made these images very royal and lavish.

I am convinced that this model's eyes and my lens had a thing for each other, come on just look at that deep stare... amazing!!





So you know when you just happen to find a piano in the hallway, and have to get all vintage. I do, so we did.

This should be Bergmann's next ad for pianos, Beauty in every aspect.....

So theres a piano, 3 amazing models, pristine attire, and a magical ambiance. What comes next? That's right... the rockstar group shot, and they totally rocked it :)

Sneak peak to what's next

2010 makes me feel like there is a lot of new and exciting things in store. For starters as many of you know Maggie and I have been shooting together for some time. Now that we are married we will be changing up our branding to hit the streets as Husband & Wife photographic rockstars!!

We were married on September 6th 2009. All the planning from the prior 2 years finally paid off, we poured our hearts and souls into putting together the most important day of our lives. One thing we learned is all the feelings that all our clients and friends have to or have gone through and we can totally connect with them. The long nights of picking colors, writing names for invite lists, figuring out where to sit people, and so on and so on. This being said, We absolutely LOVE being married and I would marry her all over again.

This is why we are now are choosing to go through a similar concept with changing our branding, we want to incorporate US rather than just me. We want to bring our passion for photography and marriage to a whole new level. Just wait to see some of the things to come.

As we end 2009 there are so many good things to remember. Instead of good riddens 2009, we will miss you :) But we welcome 2010 with open arms and high expectations.
